Unexploded ordnance found in garden of Heaton Road, Gosport
Police were called to an address on Heaton Road, Gosport, at 3.36pm yesterday.

Officers evacuated residents from Heaton Road and surrounding areas as a precaution.
The device was later removed by the military and will be taken for a controlled explosion at a secure location.
Residents were allowed to return home at about 6.35pm.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Police were called to an address on Heaton Road, Gosport.
“It was reported that unexploded ordnance was found in the garden of an address.
“A number of residents on Heaton Road and surrounding roads were evacuated as a precaution.
“Thank you very much for your patience, understanding and cooperation, once again. “,
